First Aid at Sea courses, meeting the requirements of STCW A-VI/4-1 and the South African Code of Maritime Qualifications, are run by a highly qualified SAMSA accredited instructor. These courses are held at the Grindrod Shipping Training Academy. The course is accredited by SAMSA and certificates are issued to successful candidates on completion.

Course fees are quoted in South African Rands, and are subject to increase without notice when circumstances or related services for costs change. Please enquire as to the correct fee at the time of the booking. All bookings made in advance will not attract additional costs.

Situated in Durban on the east coast of South Africa, the Grindrod Shipping Training Academy is a registered establishment that conducts Safety, Survival and Security Courses required by the marine and allied industries. The Academy is accredited by SAMSA (South African Marine Safety Authority), OPITO. Since 1975 the Academy has trained both seafarers and personnel for shore and offshore based sectors of trade. The Academy is not restricted by the Prospectus and courses can be tailor-made to suit requirements.
